Mike Distad: Passionate About Real Estate, Dedicated to Clients

Born and raised in Saint Paul’s Highland Park neighborhood, Mike Distad has deep roots in the Twin Cities community. From attending Highland Catholic and Cretin-Derham Hall to cheering on the Twins and Vikings, Mike has always embraced the vibrant lifestyle the area offers. Having lived in various parts of Minnesota, he brings a unique perspective to the diverse neighborhoods and opportunities throughout the region.

Real estate runs in Mike’s blood. As a second-generation REALTOR® and member of The Distad Team, he grew up watching his father build the family business, learning the value of hard work and personalized service from a young age. Joining his brother Tom in 2013, Mike has been instrumental in helping clients navigate the buying and selling process with confidence and care.

Mike also has a strong presence in the luxury market, with multiple builder connections and a partnership with high-end, award-winning custom home builder in Minnesota, M&M Contractors. This partnership, along with his role in Hilltop Development—a real estate development firm he runs with his brother Tom and a third investor—allows Mike to bring unmatched expertise to every project. Hilltop Development’s portfolio includes apartment buildings, duplexes, multi-unit homes, and a townhome development currently underway.

As a member of Coldwell Banker Realty’s President’s Club since 2019, Mike has consistently ranked among the top 50 agents in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. He takes pride in The Distad Team’s ability to connect buyers and sellers across the Twin Cities and beyond, offering exceptional service and results.

Mike is also passionate about giving back. Since 2017, he has been an active member of the Saint Paul Optimist Club, and volunteered with AmeriCorps, reflecting his dedication to making a positive impact in the community.

When he’s not working with clients, Mike enjoys family life in Mendota Heights with his wife and their twin son and daughter. A dedicated fitness enthusiast, Mike channels his passion for health and wellness into CrossFit, spending time at Mendota Fitness both as an athlete and a coach. Join  him for a workout sometime!
